Why did you become a real estate agent, and what is your favorite part of the job?
I wanted a job that offered flexibility not only for myself, but for my future clients, as well. I love customer service for the relationships that are built through it. Real estate isn’t just a job for me, but a way to engage with others and help find the right space for them.
My favorite part of the job is meeting new people. People are the main part of this job. Everyone is so different in personality and in what they are looking for in a space to love. The adventure of finding out those details and making the deals happen is truly one of a kind each time.
What neighborhood do you specialize in, and what makes that neighborhood a great place to live?
I live in Astoria and have for the past three years. It has grown to have a special place in my heart and has become what I think of as home. The neighborhood has that inviting feeling where friends become family, coffee shops become your go-to morning stop before the hustle, and runs in Astoria Park become your serenity. Astoria has truly become a part of my life and I want to share that with others.
What makes Modern Spaces unique as a brokerage, as far as culture, service, and approach to real estate?
Since starting at Modern Spaces, the feeling of being welcomed was present from the get-go. The team as a whole, from Eric the CEO, to Lisa in Chelsea, and Greg my manager in Astoria, has been more than helpful to me in getting comfortable and learning the ropes of real estate. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting and makes it easy for everyone to feel like they are making the right choice in a brokerage firm.
If you were to give one piece of advice to someone looking to rent or buy an apartment, what would it be?
Use your agent as a guide to help you find your home, just as you would trust a guide when visiting a new city. You need your agent to know — or be willing to learn — everything that’s out there so they’ll be able to find you the right place.
