The financial and business press had been abuzz with rumors about Amazon’s HQ2 move for a week before the company officially announced that it would be bringing the new headquarters to the Long Island City neighborhood of Queens. The
Business Times reports that the announcement turned the residential real estate market on its head, converting LIC condos that had been a little overstocked into some of the city’s most desirable homes overnight.
Business Insider, meanwhile, found some Amazon employees who have already started to buy LIC condos sight unseen. As Modern Spaces’ Kayla Lee told
