Originally from Malaysia, Mae lived in Montreal and with her degree in Restaurant Management, spent many years building her culinary reputation. Honing her skills as a sushi chef, it rapidly metamorphosed into her successful career as a restaurateur running her own establishment. Seeking to expand, Mae spent a year in Israel as part of the opening team who brought NY’s famed Sushi Samba to Tel Aviv, prior to Mae’s entry into real estate and bringing her to New York.
Her numerous years of experience in the restaurant business gave her a high level of integrity, dedication and perseverance. And while freelancing as an events coordinator, orchestrating parties for NY’s illustrious realty events, not only did her strong interest in real estate develop, it didn’t take long for her enthusiasm and exceptional customer service to catch the eye of her peers in this profession. Invited to join with a new development in Long Island City, Mae nurtured her realty passion for two years where her responsibilities grew from managing the office to coordinating with clients and contractors. Mae then joined The Corcoran Group in Manhattan, where she gained invaluable knowledge and experience in the New York City real estate market. However, Mae’s heart was always back in LIC and is now thrilled to be working for Modern Spaces, while personally residing in the neighborhood she adores and knows well.
